Joey’s List is a Los Angeles talent listing and availability service connecting Casting Directors with Background Actors, Stand-Ins, Photo Doubles and Specialty Talent. This policy covers the Joey’s List application at app.joeyslist.com.

For Talent: the name, contact details, mobile number, email address, physical details and sizes, photos, vehicle details, skills, wardrobe and availability you enter, together with your responses to casting activity. For Casting Directors: your name, company, contact details and the requests and bookings you create. We also keep records of account activity needed to operate the service.

We use this information to operate Joey’s List: to show Casting Directors who is available, to deliver availability checks, First Avail requests and bookings, to support messaging between Casting and Talent, and to maintain an accurate record of casting activity. Talent contact details are released to a Casting Director only in connection with a confirmed booking.

Your mobile number is collected in your Talent profile. Having a number on file is not consent to receive text messages. Text messages are sent only if you separately check the SMS consent box in your Talent profile, which is never pre-selected and is never required to purchase or maintain Joey’s List service.

When you opt in or opt out we permanently record your account, the mobile number tied to the consent, the consent status, the exact disclosure you accepted and its version, how the consent was given, and the date and time. That record exists so we can demonstrate whether and when consent was given or withdrawn.

If enabled, casting text messages may include First Avail requests, booking confirmations, booking updates, reconfirmation requests and other time-sensitive casting notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You may also withdraw consent at any time by unchecking the SMS consent box in your Talent profile.

SMS consent and mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We use service providers to run the application: a hosting and database provider, an email delivery provider for Joey’s List account and casting notices, and a messaging provider for text messages. These providers process information only to deliver the service on our behalf.

Profile, availability, booking and consent records are retained for as long as your account exists and for as long as we need them to maintain an accurate casting and consent history. Consent records are kept as a permanent, append-only history.

You can review and update your profile at any time while signed in, and you can withdraw SMS consent at any time.
